Bio Dad was always adamant that my disability wouldn’t hamper me as much as it could if I let it. He always pushed me a little it further, and though it may have seemed cruel to anyone else on the outside, it ultimately did me a world of good. He pushed me into Muay Tai when I was 15 , as an instructor he was in the unique position to tutor his daughter with patience and perhaps a little drive.
I was taught to use what I had in exchange for what I didn’t. Everything I got I had to work twice as hard as anyone else to get. When I was twenty I was 19 I was set to go to college, an argument I had finally won with my parents. Sadly I never quite got there, mum and dad died in a house fire, faulty wiring they said. A single spark and they were gone.
I didn’t start dancing as an act of rebellion, it was simply an easy way to make money and I was good at it. I didn’t work at the seedy bars, choosing instead to work the club scene and getting myself quite a reputation for it in the process.
I didn’t start my research into the occult until I was about twenty one. Walking to a cab station one night after work I was jumped by something. I couldn’t see who or what it was, but I felt it’s strength and its hunger. I couldn’t overpower it but I made damn sure that It didn’t have an easy time, stuck my thumb into one of it’s eyes, bastard howled like a demon. Eventually some people came and whatever the hell it was got away. Curiosity burned at me like nothing else and so I began investigating the only way I could, through rumour. This eventually led me to the underground fighting circuit, and there were quite a few to bounce from, I sort of got a name for myself there too.
I’m still searching, wanting to know what stalks in the night, because every now and again there’s a death that can’t quite be explained, they happen at night and they happen quick and quiet.
